Well, that's a new one. 🤦🏻
Yes that is a ruler sewn to a piece of foam laminate.
Somehow I managed to wangle my 6" c-thru UNDER my piece and the juki ddl 8700 with a no. 18 needle just ate it. I didn't notice.
It's time to stop for the day

It's scissor sharpening day at Why Sew! In our experience, everybody's got at least one pair of actual murder scissors lurking around. Left to right: Lauren's 11" Wiss straight edge tailoring shears, Squid's "Grandpa's Old Kitchen Scissors", and Jen Rocket's "fuck around and find out" craft shears.

Time to apply a little bit of zipper tape!!! Bulk application is where it's at for these time consuming little guys - it saves time and resources, since you can set the panels right next to each other and eliminate zipper tape waste. It gives a very straight seam too bc you set the guide & go.💪🏻

This is a great intro to domestic manufacturing! We spend a fair bit of time explaining why our prices are higher (you know, paying a living wage & health insurance and all) so thanks Marketplace for making our job easier!
How much would clothes cost if they were made in the U.S.?
We broke down what a shirt, jacket and pair of jeans should cost if the designers are using quality material and paying their workers fair wages.
