it's because it's far more important to appease donors to get more money so they can campaign next election cycle than to actually win an election. who gives a shit about palestine or sudan if random rich person won't give the dnc money next year!?

the "you're more to blame for trump than trump voters" line is my favorite. the best way to win elections is to insult people who didn't vote for your candidate.
