I have a hard time trusting a billionaire to fix the problems that billionaires created.
There was a time when I myself was not aware of the nuances here. I think vast majority of journalists don’t have a great understanding what socialists actually believe vs. anti-socialist propaganda. The propaganda is much more prevalent and widely shared than the actual beliefs.

This is also a gross oversimplification. Marx himself was not certain if a “clash” was inevitable:

“There are countries — such as America, England… I would perhaps also add Holland — where the workers can attain their goal by peaceful means.”

Here’s AI’s breakdown of where the article’s criticism gets directed.

Of course the students, the stakeholders with the least resources, get the brunt of the criticism. Classic moral panic.

Students didn’t break education. Tech did — and schools let it happen.

Don't lose sight of the fact that the people with actual power in any corporate media organization have one mission: make money by delivering eyeballs to advertisers.

"Informing the public" and "speaking truth to power" are barely on the radar.

Here's an excerpt, showing how ABC News watered down a statement critical of Elon Musk.

An oversight "jury" is just one example of what's possible with "democracy lotteries". They can be a powerful tool at every level of government. This should be a bigger part of the conversation.

I'm convinced randomly selected citizens would do a better job at protecting our democracy than the flawed institutions we currently have. They would owe their position to zero special interests. They would be much harder to corrupt.

Do Thomas and Neil Gorsuch survive the corruption allegations?

Would Elon Musk or RFK Jr or Pete Hegseth or Tulsi Gabbard be allowed anywhere near government jobs?

I would argue most, if not all of these controveries would have never happened in the first place.

Does Trump prevail through Ukraine scandal and the insurrection?

Do Clarence Thomas and Brett Kavanaugh make it to the Supreme Court?

Does Sam Alito survive the flag controversy?

This is of course, not remotely plausible anytime soon, but think of the implications...

Does Bill Clinton survive his sex scandals?

Does George Bush get away with torturing people?

Does Barak Obama get away with his 563 drone strikes?
