What's your read this weekend? Started on this as was drawn to it after finding it mentioned in another book. Dark, compelling, almost evil. The uncertainty of the character Emerence draws you in. Would make a great horror film if there isn't one already #Booksky

Percival Everett has been brought to people's attention by his recent book James. I really urge people to read his back catalogue. Currently reading his first novel Suder. Hard hitting, direct, frank and open reference to everyday racism. In short, brilliant #Booksky

Had an amazing long weekend in Bath. was excited to visit @toppingsbath.bsky.social and @mrbsemporium.bsky.social on my little bookshop crawl as well as Skoobs and Oxfam bookshop. Managed to limit myself to 7 books but could have bought do many more #booksky #books
