I believe that was only for certain games and data. I don't think they where ment to be transferable between consoles so much as like mini-data packets you could carry with you and transfer back to your home system

There used to be a service you could use to transfer data from one to the other through a cloud save system, it might have only been for just the Wii to the WiiU though. Outside of that, softmodding maybe?
