A standardized scoring system for making DSM-5 PMDD diagnoses may help - and @clearlab.bsky.social created just that.

The DSM-5, the standard classification of mental disorders, ignores unique trajectories. For example, for premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), the DSM-5 excludes subthreshold cyclicity or those with premenstrual exacerbation. This holds us back from fully understanding #PMDD.
