Elections have consequences

That would require a functioning and creative leadership team. We vote Democratic because the alternative is unconscionable. It’s far more difficult to come up with actual, positive reasons to vote for this version of the Democratic Party.

We turn out in the millions to protest and show up to deliver a landslide last week, and the Democratic response is to cave after achieving exactly nothing. How is this version of the Democratic Party worthy of our support?

The best way to move forward is to replace Chuck Schumer!

It’s increasingly obvious that our representatives in congress need a mandatory retirement age. I don’t know many people over 70 who are in touch with a world that changes constantly. Let younger people lead. It’s their future we’re ruining!

If you want my vote, change your leadership. I have no doubt Schumer can be a useful part of the senate team, but in the current moment he has demonstrated he can’t hold senate Dems together, and as the public face of the party he’s a disaster.

Wasn’t working?? Did you sleep through Tuesday??!
November 10, 2025 at 2:58 AM
It’s more likely a ‘both’ situation rather than an’ either/or’!
November 10, 2025 at 2:57 AM
Strange definition of ‘winning’ you have there. If you run for reelection, please be sure to ‘win’ that one too!
November 10, 2025 at 2:54 AM
That’s great. But you just worked out absolutely nothing at all!
November 10, 2025 at 2:51 AM
Wasn’t Peters wavering today too?
November 10, 2025 at 2:49 AM
Are there any Democrats who are retiring but voted no?
November 10, 2025 at 2:47 AM
I’m curious. If we assume he has no intention of stepping down as leader, what’s the mechanism to replace him?
November 10, 2025 at 2:43 AM
Have to believe this was planned for a while but kept under wraps until Tuesday was behind us.
November 10, 2025 at 2:42 AM
I think the appropriate thing to say is ‘goodbye’.
November 10, 2025 at 2:40 AM
Thank you for holding the line. Can we PLEASE have a change of leadership in the senate? Even the finest soldiers need a general!
November 10, 2025 at 2:25 AM
If Schumer is allowing this to proceed, he should resign. If it’s happening over his objections, he should resign.
November 10, 2025 at 1:39 AM
And an agreement that the administration will now follow the law is hardly worth a victory lap. Got a feeling Schumer will need to draft a few more of those strongly worded letters in the very near future.
November 10, 2025 at 1:37 AM
Thank you from a San Diego voter who now faces higher premiums next year! Keep fighting!
November 10, 2025 at 1:33 AM
Schumer should pass the gavel to Mark!
November 10, 2025 at 1:29 AM
People don’t fight to their potential when there’s an absence of leadership, Chuck!
November 10, 2025 at 1:27 AM
This is an absolute capitulation. Trump was massively booed at a football game today and you’re handing him victory. A week from now, polls will show Dems being blamed for the shutdown!
November 10, 2025 at 1:25 AM
Time for Chuck to go. Pathetic.
November 10, 2025 at 1:17 AM
Absolute disgrace. Schumer cannot hold his caucus together. He should step down.
