If Austin Reaves has a million fans, I’m one of them
If Austin Reaves has one fan, I’m him
If Austin Reaves has no fans, I’m no longer alive
If the world is against Austin Reaves, I am against the world
Till my last breath, I support Austin Reaves
I agree, and with the addition of Luka I think we’re about to see the best version of him yet. Still, we’ve seen him play well for spurts before, so I want to see it continue a little longer. I think our best bet is treating him as our main 5, and hosting “tryouts” with various backups game to game.

I agree 100%, my point is more that you need to be sure about Jaxson if you’re gonna take a gamble like this, because if both Jaxson and the other guy turn out to be unplayable, you now have no centers that can play at all. Theis and Nance aren’t great but I’d say they’re more known commodities.

To me the entire conversation revolves around how confident you are in Jaxson as a playoff-viable switching/mobile big. If we’re confident he can serve as our mobile option, then I’m more confident taking a gamble on a slow guy, but if not then I’d rather get a more surefire guy like Nance or Theis.

Does this open the door for potential consequences (i.e. losing a pick) for the Hornets? They straight up concealed an injury to try and swindle assets from another team.

Ridiculous. I wasn’t even the biggest fan of the trade necessarily, but what sounds like the Hornets’ failure to disclose information now cost the Lakers MAJOR opportunities at the deadline. There should be severe penalties from the league against them.

Just learned this dude has a standing reach of… yes you’re reading this correctly… NINE FEET NINE INCHES!!! For reference, that’s 2 inches higher than Victor Wembanyama. Not sure if it’s a shorter neck or slimmer shoulders, but the guy can touch the rim on his tip toes AND he can jump. Luka’s dream.

I’m less concerned with his health after a little digging. His first season is deceptive cause he played a ton in the G league, and according to Hornets fans the foot and back injuries were very much one off things that the Hornets took their time with. He’s probably gonna be okay.
