It's easy to get depressed seeing the online discourse about California and the fires. Bad faith actors are sowing distrust in charities and donations when they themselves were never planning on helping.
The good news is that the reality is that I've never seen so many people come together to help.

As a Californian, I can say I've never wished the worst on other people in other states going through disasters, and most of us don't wish it.
