But what people don't realize is that for each new awful update that felon puts out, the more their work & brand gets devalued. Eventually, they'll live in a wasteland where everything becomes fake where even simple communication will be altered by the website from other people perspectives.

The truth is that people like big numbers and connections with other people (even if 70% of them are fake). It's also a good way to find opportunities for work. But it only worked because twitter was already an established platform that has existed for over 10 years with millions of active users.
