The mothers were born 10+ years ago so it doesn't compute that the living person is needed for the birth. It's a slippery slope for them: if they have to care for pregnant people then they have to care for all people and that's impossible for them to do. It's the "no take, only throw" meme.

It really is hard to tell these days, especially for neurodivergent people. The number of "missing the joke" comments I get sucks because there's no tone for me to try to tell if someone is being serious or not.

Other countries have rewritten their constitutions at least once. While we're at it, lower levels of government should go through and clean out all of the obscure, out-of-date laws like "women need their husband's approval before getting dentures (VT)" and "minors can't play pinball (SC)"

There's also "God's plan" to consider ie "you'll *naturally* conceive when God says it's time, IVF subverts that plan". I don't feel this way, I'm more pro-adoption myself, it's just another way to look at it.
