Let him have an oxygen tank! No one will hold it against him--these are modern times.

von Humboldt studies electric eels, but first he has to get them to kill a bunch of horses.

I used to be surprised that there were voters who wanted assholes to represent them (like Chris Christie for instance), but now I'm totally incredulous. Assholes would be so much better!

Please! Most people don't slavishly follow the politics news.

You know, I have never had these conversations--either with the anti-war Russians or the traumatized Argentinians, and I'm genuinely curious. Please cite something.

I just followed Liberal Currents on Google News. It would be nice if your articles showed up occasionally.

I'm suddenly reminded of the Twilight Zone episode: "On Thursday we Leave for Home".

I'm glad Garcia is making good, but I laughed when Nancy Pelosi was quoted as saying "He's young, but has brought members of the public...". Garcia is 47 years old. Pretty young compared to Pelosi, though.

I just got back from Loscon, and went to a forum on Star Trek. The most heated discussion was on economics in Star Trek. It's supposed to be post scarcity, with no money, but Picard is rich, others have to scrimp and currencies are mentioned. The writers, at least, don't have it all figured out.

Should I pardon you for liking kdramas, or for never talking about them? I'm not sure it's a problem in either case.

Maybe Laura could get behind the Mayan number system. It's nice--base 20, has a zero and everything. And you wouldn't have to say it was Guatemalan/Oaxacan--just call it the American number system.
