Minimum use of force, huh?

We can’t sit quietly while every person’s civil and human rights are being ignored.
The way immigrants are being treated right now is the way the rest of us will be treated if we dare to disagree with this administration if we don’t stop this NOW.

Getting back into my routine after a month off. Building strength for motherhood, whether in pregnancy or beyond, is (r)evolutionary 💪🏼

with the highest maternal mortality rate of all industrialized nations, a c-section rate of 32.3% in 2023, and 98.4% of women giving birth in the hospital, I train mothers to get fit for birth and everything beyond. It’s (r)evolutionary.

My prenatal clients are the epitome of badass. Prenatal fitness helps grow fit babies, with higher APGAR scores, intelligence, they lift their heads sooner, are more alert at birth… it’s one of the best things you can do when you’re pregnant.

Trying to think of who this dried apple head resembles… I can’t quite place it. Maybe you can.

I use Signal with my Birthsmarter childbirth educator peers.
You see the name of every person who joins the chat.
There is NO REASON for Hesgeth not to know who was privy to the information he sent via his Signal group chat. #signalgate He needs to be a leader and resign immediately. Waltz too.

Thanks to the ACA, I got to stop being afraid. @barackobama.bsky.social I voted for you the day I became a citizen (early voting) in 2012 and I appreciate all you did for the country. This whole article is still floating around the internet I think.

POSTPARTUM RECOVERY
With the right support and guidance, you can recover after giving birth while bonding and minimizing stress on you and your baby! My favorite thing is getting to work with someone throughout their pregnancy, and then working with them again when their baby is on the outside . 🥹

KNOW YOUR RIGHTS
A word about the caesarean birth of my second baby. While it was overwhelmingly positive, before the surgery began I experienced something that could have easily turned into trauma if I didn’t know I could speak up.

She’s out of recovery “jail” for a little turn out today. Almost all better.

She seems to be improving!! Hungry for dinner. Much “brighter” when I hand walked her. Nickering to her buddy (my gelding).

The inscription in my tattoo reads, “it is courage that splits the acorn and send the rootlet down into the soil…” from The Deed of Paksenarrion by Elizabeth Moon.
It’s a line that still gives me strength. A reminder that courage is inherent in all living things. Even when you don’t feel brave.

Got to work with this incredible mama today. She has never failed to show up and put in the work and she’s already stronger and better prepared than she was for her first, and it’s so cool to see her making informed, empowered choices.

Pony is home now. Better pics tomorrow.

Strength training in pregnancy builds essential strength and confidence for birth, parenting, and life. Birth is inherently a physiological event, not pathology requiring medication or surgery, but you need to prepare, get stronger, and seek out quality birth education. #birth #birthworker #strength

Good news. She ate a little this morning!! Impaction has cleared we think. Waiting for liver markers to normalize. Keeping her on saline fluids. She does not like alfalfa but went for the grass hay.

I know someone who works in cybersecurity, who has important things to say about what a WWIII might look like. They are afraid to speak out due to previously getting death threats for speaking up the first time, but this ChatGPT summary sums up their fears pretty well. 1/2

As we focus on politics and the harms affecting real people, there’s still other real life stuff like this. My pony, Fancy, is colicky this morning. After dealing with some winter laminitis for the last 1.5 weeks. Vet coming in an hour or so. 😢

My husband took this when he borrowed my phone this evening. 🤩

If you need a great, functional, well designed scheduling system with forms, try Breely. I’m really happy so far and the tech support is awesome right now because it’s so new. The creator/founder helped create Acuity. Just sharing because I’m on a webinar with them right now.
