The Shoulder diaphragm and Jaw/Main Cranial Diaphragm are 3/7 Diaphragms in Whole Body Breathing. Working with the cranium as 3 diaphragms, feeling it during breathing, and yes making the tongue posture as part of a diaphragm as it should is the way forward. Global Tensegrity

Muscle? No, muscular effort can't hold up 60+ lbs for hours. This is all fascial tensegrity. I've identified the line from top (NOT BOTTOM) of foot->thoracolumbar fascia, and bottom of foot to pelvic floor diaphragm which is this seat. Full line outlined in the database course.

The skull is a 3D puzzle, and the TMJ is the the limit to its size. The most-outer bone is the temporal bone, for anything inside to get larger they need to come apart. Their outer limit: TMJ/Mandible. This paradigm shift is explored in the course. Mewing/Myofunctional/CST x10

Some say the Mandible follows the Maxilla. I say the mandible leads the way. The way the tongue/suprahyoid muscles fit into the mandible makes it very clear that improper function here would limit mandible development. The WBB Tongue Posture course will go into this deeply.

Psoas stored trauma will mess up your breathing, posture, and your form. The psoas contracting pulls your knees up to protect your guts and chest / soft inner, while exposing your hard outer back to predators. If your nervous system is always feeling threat, you'll not let go.

The inhale causes an increase in pressure in the body, introducing outside air into the fluid dynamic system. And studies show the inhale drives CSF pressure and flow.

Try it: Pull the back (throat part) of your tongue down into your throat a few times. You'll feel sensation radiate out to your palate, cheekbones, and beyond. Keep doing it, you'll notice that this produces a (proper) opening feeling of the palate, and a downward pull.

Pulling from CST and other esoteric understanding: An impulse or expansion occurs in the cerebrospinal fluid. This causes an immediate expansion along the entire dura, extending into the spinal fascia, extending into the diaphragms and 2 lines of the body.

The densest fascia has the largest tug on the rest of the body. An aponeurosis is the dense web, so when you create a small impulse of movement in the dense areas it radiates outwards to the less dense areas efficiently.

Someone asked how to tell the difference between real and imagined sensation.
Good question, in the sense that everything is "real", yes.

We have anatomy trains type thinking of lines of connective tissue, in WBB there's essentially two of them: The soft inner, the hard outer. The inside of the body is soft and tender, psoas, and throat and tongue and face, bottoms of feet insides of hands etc.

At its fundamental level, the body is best understood as a **tensegrity structure**—a stable, interconnected system of continuous tension where the fascia and bones act as one complex network.

We have 7 diaphragms in the body. The main respiratory diaphragm is one, but also pelvis + shoulders + jaw + main head + scalp + hands/feet. Roughly these align to the chakra system, yep.

STOP feeling your bones separate from the muscles, they blend into eachother and that's why soft tissue tension can constrict the unfolding of your bone growth (and vice versa). Think/Feel your tongue as part of the jaw structure. Excerpt from the WBB Mewing/Myofunctional Course

Instant result: Use shin + thigh muscles to turn knees and toes towards being straight. You feel glutes activate, pulling the back of your pelvis down. Do reps of this, and use WBB to notice this natural pull on the inhale. Contrast w/ inner pull from last post. Balance pelvis

Instant result: Use your inner thigh muscles to turn your knees and toes towards being straight. Your breathing will immediately get deeper, and if you've been practicing WBB you'll probably notice expansion in your skull. Do reps of this, use the breath to pull the feet in.
