i tried to move his face scar onto the actual diffuse instead of just using a face decal. i also messed with the normals but honestly i still don't really know how normals work. since most of the scar is conveyed through the diffuse anyways, its finee (cope)

that first set of pictures especially makes me sigh wistfully. i love bari but she, out of everyone, is so connected to the imagery of mudang that I would gpose her more if i had more clothing and weapons/props to create the picture of her that exists in my head.

reading through this makes me so emotional as someone who is also working through my heritage to create characters that would've spoken to me growing up. seeing them ask the same questions, call upon the same imagery + motifs, share in my goals makes me feel like i'm moving in the right direction

My FFXIV OC; Haena, a veena viera woman with short black hair, and Estinien relax after working out on a sunny afternoon in Old Sharlayan. They are both in modern athleisure wear. Estinien, while sitting down, is leaning over to whisper to Haena who, sitting cross-legged, leans over and rests her face on her arm as she listens close. The blue sea and sky stretch into the distance. -------- After the events of Ultima Thule, the Leveilleur Estate insisted on housing the Warrior of Light as she recovered. While Alphinaud and Alisaie felt compelled to watch over their friend, the duties of the Scions during the aftermath of the Final Days often demanded their attention. As such, the Scions and other allies often swapped off attending to Haena -- but really Haena preferred some good company over someone to spoon-feed her soup. Being alone in the manor was not exactly the most relaxing time for Haena. "Alone" was also a stretch as there never was a scarcity of dutiful attendants, maids, cooks, chirurgeons, an endless flood of willing hands ready to serve. Not only did Haena suffer significant physical injuries from Ultima Thule, the exposure to high concentrations of dynamis had also left lasting effects on her body. While exposure to potent sources of aether (Mugi, Hraesvelgr's eye, and the Lightwardens to name a few) have previously affected Haena's body, Y'shtola and Urianger noted a unique reaction to dynamis which had reverted many of these changes. Notably, Haena's eyes had been restored to their natural black color. While it may seem to be the case, this did not mean Haena had also lost the boons those aetheric founts had granted. But the Leveilleur servants did not have to know that as Estinien would explain. Under the pretense of training and recovery did Estinien find an escape for Haena from those all-too-eager eyes and ears. Perhaps the servants always did know the truth but played oblivious as the two dragoons fled the scene with none the wiser.

When i first starting playing, i was starting to question my gender so I basically just sporadically fanta'd to every fem race to see how i felt. never could shake viera so i finally circled back. i then started thinking about what if there was a tribe of korean veena viera and the rest is history.

while black + gold accents is right up haena's alley (those flared pants!), I'm actually very happy to see stuff that I can easily play with for bari. She never fit quite in all casting robes, light, or heavy armor.

i ended up getting distracted from organizing my mods and fiddled with haena's c+ more. ended up widening her torso some more. i think it looks better
