The sun cleaves through the leaves to brush against your thick, winter coats as you race alongside each other. The cold wind can’t touch you, not when you feel this warm, burning so hot as to explode, unleashing your true self and everything you’ve contained for so long. New hardcover book done, as a gift for a friend who has a chameleon. Was trying something new with the cover, but don't think it's quite there. Gives me ideas on how to improve, though.

I learned how to pin insects earlier this year, thanks to a class that was a birthday gift from my partner @houseofchimeras.bsky.social! This was my tutorial project; paper and pin had been left in there while the third butterfly was drying.
