Because [arguably] ICE agents seem to be "trained" with aggression as top, knee-jerk first response; whereas legitimate law enforcement agencies promote de-escalation [albeit not always successfully] as first response.

Govt workers support their local schools, non-profits, and fellow neighbors. Their earnings churn in communities through purchasing local goods and services and paying property taxes.
Not only are we losing what their jobs provide, but we are losing economic, social, and community development.

I keep saying Dems need to do a daily briefing on Capitol Hill and fill the void, fact check the WH. Hire Pete Buttigeig and give him a staff to do this.
