Lowkey feels like a BG3 situation, where the devs buckled to fan response and changed stuff haphazardly.
Considering how that turned out for BG3, I'm not a fan on principle.

It's extra funny that the guy playing the Stranger in this 'official series' is apparently also the writer, director and showrunner. If he made the decision to whitewash the main character to make himself look cool, I can't imagine that that reflects well on the rest of the show.

Part of it is probably that the player character in the game is black. In this trailer, not so much.

I do agree completely, but if someone's totally new to the series, being bombarded with all kinds of comments, that maybe don't even agree on which mods to install, is a bit overwhelming.

Saw someone getting interested in the WTC VNs, and their comments were flooded with people yelling at them to install a bunch of mods. I don't think a lot of people realize just how off-putting and strange it is to be told "Play this, but only with fan-mods!", even if it is well-intentioned.

No idea if you know this, but just to make sure - V3 isn't a continuation of the storyline, it's its own thing. The rest of the Hope's Peak story is in the spin-off game Another Episode and the anime Danganronpa 3. And, yeah, I know it's confusing.

I think those people just wanted the game to keep the same pattern from chapter 2 going, like a Persona game, but then they got mad when Toby decided to make a good story instead.
