Longtime fan of fantasy and science fiction generally, and SCP stuff specifically. Space is still under construction. I'm planning on ramping things up in January of 2027.
The interesting and unsettling thing isn't the creature itself. No, the unsettling thing is its mention of an entire world of supernatural creatures, a claim that is substantiated by the fact that The Foundation has the oni that attacked it in containment.

I can't even in fairness call this 'a factory what kills you' because factory workers have such a hazardous job to begin with. This is just a mildly anomalous factory that engaged in entirely normal business practices.
The article is emphatically pro-worker and anti-capitalist, and I love that.

This indicates something importiant, I think. People aren't really participating in the SCP wiki proper. And that's not because they can't. I just looked; SCP-8980 has over 1200 upvotes, and deserves every one of them. But only a handful of people who read that went on to read 8557.
