I’m not sure that Morrisons is really giving its More card holders much value for money here 😄

I do miss being able to tag companies on here like we could on Twitter - it’s the only thing I really find lacking.

Gorgeous start to the morning - the mist was hanging in the valley over the river and canal, completely obscuring the woods, but the sky was a bright blue and the sun picked out all the shades of autumn in the trees and bracken.
In the foreground is grass strewn with fallen autumn leaves, then deep russet red bracken against the hedgerow, a tree to the left has lost almost all its leaves but the tree to the right is clinging on to shreds of yellow- between the two the mist hangs over the valley, and the sky shades from pink at the horizon to a deeper blue overhead.

Just yards from two busy A roads in Leeds is a little pocket of serenity - the Japanese Garden in Hall Park, Horsforth. It’s glorious in all weathers, but in Autumn it really comes into its own, with the scarlet of the paintwork on the bridges and shelters reflected in the foliage of the acers.

A different angle of this brick walled garden (I seem to remember being told that it was a tennis court when Horsforth Hall still existed but I don’t know if that is true?). To the left is a shrub that I think may be a pieris but I’m not any sort of horticulturist so may well be wrong - shading from a lime green at the base 70 through all shades of pink until it glows at the very top. To the right is a scarlet-painted wooden arched bridge which crosses the short stream that runs from the waterfall to the small lake. Standing stones on a gravel patch - we visit this garden often and this but is always used by the pre-school children to measure which one is their height. To the back of the picture is the scarlet bridge and the stream running into the pond

We seemed to do that one and Get Off Bear in constant rotation last year - both great teaching books with lots of spin off ideas for my 1-4 year olds.

We love this one at the moment. One of our neighbours has a hedgehog cam which has picked up lots of activity to show the children, and the illustrations of the different leaves and beetles give us lots to look for on our walks and stick to our “Amazon box and double sided sticky tape” boards 😂

Anyone want to buy a bookshop? I guess that’s true as, whilst I’m still no closer to paint choosing, I’m now off down the rabbit hole of googling what on earth a Fourier coefficient is - I’m not sure my creaky o level maths is up to this 😂
My original question about paint colour suggestions for my living room has been answered with info on Fourier series, exponential notation and coefficients More Fourier series content, to do with formula, coefficients and sine and cosine. I have very little grasp of what this explanation is telling me … 🤷🏻‍♀️

It’s a chunky monkey “with a girth of 23 feet” and up to 500 years old
Information board about the oak tree, saying it’s 350-500 years old, has a girth of 23 feet, it stands in the original deer park and was probably retained as a feature when the hall and gardens were created. Upper section of it was damaged so the tree is hollow, but remains perfectly healthy as nutrients can still be transported below the bark.

Gorgeous walk in the mist and snow this morning in Derbyshire. We are lucky to have kept hold of our childhood home when my dad died - we rent it out as a holiday let until my sister can retire and move back in full time - and that means we spend as much time there ourselves as we possibly can.

Fetched a Christmas tree today from the lovely Whiteleys of #Pudsey. We accidentally bought one so big that there was no room for 2 of us in the car, so we set off to walk whilst the tree was dropped off. And I’m pleased we did - otherwise we would never have stumbled across this sign 😍 #Leeds
