Una de las primeras actividades conmemorativas tendrá un gran valor simbólico. El 4 de abril plantaremos un granado en la plaza de Santa Eulalia. En dicha plaza se está restaurando el edificio de nuestra futura sede.

En granado es el símbolo del CSIC y representa al árbol de la ciencia. 🌳

Additionally, we tested simple stone tools made from raw materials similar to those at the Barranc de la Boella site in Tarragona, where a Mammuthus meridionalis kill-butchering site dating back nearly 1 million years was discovered.

Today was incredible working on the preparation of an African elephant (Loxodonta africana) that passed away at the Barcelona Zoo. An invaluable experience contributing to our understanding of anatomy and the complexity of butchering processes of very large carcasses.

For me, the most mind-blowing thing about the new case at Charterhouse Warren is that it’s just a 6-kilometer walk to Gough's Cave. The only two cases of cannibalism in England are just an hour’s walk apart.💀
