Hi! This is Rachel. This lil crazy space salamander design is based on a movement meditation I did recently. I focus too much on “perfect” art and this lil guy kind of comes from the opposite impulse. I wanted to capture an image at the moment an idea came to me, without iteration or correction.

This is a table top! We are so excited to be getting into carved furniture again, it’s been since we were Ink To My Elbows that we’ve had the chance to do bigger pieces like this. January is always a good time to sink into creating (especially now!)
