midway break point on anime marathon and i just immediately wrote this out
I let out a strangled squeal, limbs flailing against the weighted sheets of the bed. It was momentary, but the unfamiliarity of my own room struck a panic into the vessels of my heart. Right, right. I wasn't a kid anymore. Thank the Witches… The fleeting memory in the recess of my dreams, as quickly as it came, gradually faded away along with the rapid pulse of my heart and soul.

I remember being born. Professor says that Cookies usually don't… But I do. The loud ringing in my ears as I came to, squirming uncomfortably ontop of a really cold table. It made my skin crawl in a bad way. I think Professor didn't like to see me like that, back then. Cuz I remember their eyes. The way they looked at me, wrinkles of their dough pulling into a scowl. Their eyes, it was so pointed, like it could cut through my brain if it really tried. Neverless, they stayed for me. Even when all I could do was writhe and make raspy whines. Even when they had to push me back down when I tried to leave, and making me kick some more. I always wondered if Professor ever got mad at me for that, but they said that I was just learning. Learning that the world was uncomfortable and loud and cold. I didn't think of it like that, not even when I could finally say words. Professor was here all throughout, weren't they? Those hands aided me when I wobbled like a newborn ficus fawn. Those piercing eyes watched as I played with such colorful cubes, putting them into the little holes they'd crafted for me. They said it was to test my brain, and my hands… but it was quite fun for a test! They even let me build a little pyramid, just for them.
