My partner had to literally leave her family behind because of how bad her family was especially her mother. She finally had enough and cut them for good. Sometimes you have to do that for your own sanity and freedom. Trust your instincts.

It was a long time before mine and my partners family found out. The sneaking around was hard before that. Especially having religious families made it difficult in sharing that info also. Now that they know, they just ignore it like it doesn't exist. It's hard but once they know it gets easier

I don't talk about my personal life much but I've been poly for a few years now. This one woman at work found out I was and immediately started treating me like I was going to start hitting on her. It's like, relax lol.
