Orphan Black, Hoopla has 5 seasons of this and it is a show that I think people forget was such a big hit
December 10, 2025 at 5:55 PM
Chewing Gum, Hoopla has both seasons of this and fun fact Jonathon Bailey was in a role for season 2 of this show

Call My Agent! This is the original in French, I've not seen it but I've heard good things (there's 4 seasons on Hoopla)

The Wedding Banquet, this movie has been on my list forever and I thought it was hard to get, but low and behold it is on Hoopla which I'm very happy about

Sweet Smell Of Success, I have no idea if I'm going to be on the vibe train with this movie but I'd like to find out

Separate Tables, this won some Oscars in the late 50s, I don't know whether that is a metric that means something is good, but I'm intrigued

Serena, I'm just kind of tickled by the fact that one of the most out there movies that This Had Oscar Buzz covered is on here (it is a podcast that I really love)

Quills, a movie that I have always wondered about, I do really like Kate Winslet
December 10, 2025 at 5:38 PM
Girlhood, I heard great things about this when this movie first happened and now I get to see it ten years later (I am very happy that Hoopla has this in their library)

Eat Drink Man Woman, I have been meaning to see this for a long time, I'm very glad that I can see it now
December 10, 2025 at 5:27 PM
D.O.A. This is a movie that has a very out there premise and also a movie I only know because there was a remake of it, this looks fun to me
December 10, 2025 at 5:26 PM
The Deep Blue Sea, I'm such a Rachel Weisz person that I would like to see this, just for her
December 10, 2025 at 5:21 PM
Cabaret, it's weird to say this? This movie exists in very small YouTube clips to me, I've never seen the whole
December 10, 2025 at 5:19 PM
The Bishop's Wife, the only thing I know about this? That it was remade with Denzil Washington in the Cary Grant role, I've not seen either one by the way
December 10, 2025 at 5:18 PM
Big Night, this looks fun
December 10, 2025 at 5:16 PM
The Beggar's Opera, they occasionally have stuff like this, I've never seen this before in any iteration, this caught my eye
December 10, 2025 at 5:14 PM
Last one! Pride (2014) I really like this movie, this is also about something that I had little knowledge of
December 8, 2025 at 5:52 PM
Shakespeare In Love (1998), oh man this is a complicated movie to me. There's just so much drama surrounding it and it is just that little too pleased with itself for my taste
December 8, 2025 at 5:48 PM
Strictly Ballroom (1993), a movie that is a delight, also deeply Australian
December 8, 2025 at 5:37 PM
Almost Famous (2000), ah this movie that I have messy, messy feelings about. This is another one where I feel very different to when I first saw it. I do think it is again worth examining why (I mean it is no surprise that I'm saying this about two Cameron Crowe movies)
December 8, 2025 at 5:33 PM
Desperately Seeking Susan (1985), god I love this movie, I will always love this movie, the soundtrack, the actors in every role, I honestly think it is perfect and always will be (oh and fan fact remember when DVDs had directors commentaries? This one is well worth seeking out)
December 8, 2025 at 5:26 PM
Bill And Ted's Bogus Journey (1991), talking of sequels. I am going to say that I prefer this one to the first one (both are on Hoopla by the way). There's so many jokes here and it is just delightful
