My point being that we shouldn't treat all transphobic people the same. We need to approach them on a one to one basis and not assume what they believe.
We may not be able to change everyone's mind but we can change those who are willing to pause and consider.

Wanting us dead = active malice and seething hatred
Wanting us to not exist = active ignorance as to the causes of being trans/the pain of being trans in society
You can help people move past ignorance, but moving past seething hatred and malice is damn near impossible.

I disagree. Most don't want us dead, they want us not to exist, which translates into actions which force us into situations where we are suicidal and vulnerable.
Most of them justify their own hatred by saying that we're just inherently suicidal and broken; that they aren't causing it with hatred.
