As part of my December adventures to Milwaukee, the city of my youth, my family did a Christmas Bakery Bus Tour - Milwaukee Food Tours. This tour started out at Rupena's Fine Foods in West Allis, Wisconsin. Rupena’s has been a fixture in Milwaukee since 1927, especially in the Croatian community, and was established by John S. Rupena at the age of 16 or 17, depending on the source.

The Old Burial Hill Cemetery in Marblehead, Massachusetts is one of the oldest graveyards in New England, having been founded in 1638. Some fans might know it from the movie Hocus Pocus (1993). The graveyard itself is on top of a large hill, the original site of Marblehead's first meeting house, and its view of Marblehead Harbor alone is enough to take one’s breath away.

The Historic Farnsworth House Inn is linked to one of the most famous stories of the occupation of Gettysburg. The Farnsworth House attic window, or garret, was identified as the location of the sniper that shot the fatal bullet that took the life of civilian Jennie Wade, aged 20, the only civilian casualty of this battle. (Once I saw how close all the fighting was and how wild the bullets flew, it seems so amazing to me that more civilians weren’t killed directly as a result of artillery and firing - blessing it was only one.) She was not an intentional target, being inside her house.

I was driving for many hours in my car the other day and it dawned on me that I should put something up to let people know about the project that I’m currently working on. Honestly, the whole thing is taking shape in real time, but I’ve also been planning it for several months. This is my opportunity to really treat my passion like something bigger than an occasional hobby.

Adam Berry gave a talk and hosted a ghost hunt at the Stefanie E. Weill Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, October 17, 2025 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. If you have never had the chance to attend one of Adam’s talks, you are truly missing out. I am always game to listen to Adam tell stories and answer questions about the paranormal.

This story is a very old story. It is one that haunts me today as a reminder of my failure to use my gifts for what they were meant to be. I hadn’t gone through workshops to help me embrace my gifts. I hadn’t reintroduced myself to using rods or Tarot/Oracle cards. This was just a girl, home alone, and a spirit with a message delivered like something out of a horror movie.

Last night was an absolute stresser for me. And things only got weirded when I woke up in the morning and realized there was more at play than I had thought. At around 11:36PM on Sunday, December 29, 2024, I woke up to a horrible dream. Well, my emotions were horrible, but the dream was tepid. My nephew had become a DJ and was abusing me by excessively playing bass heavy music and it was pounding into my head.

Because every soul has a story - if you dare to listen.
