I cannot tell you the last time I engaged with local stations, national stations, news papers etc. Nor do I think any of them accurately tell the truth and I think they are a driving force in the lack of awareness, justice etc so many marginalized communities face.

I don’t know how any financial institution can just hold on to your money like this. It’s not fair. It’s not okay. Chime is literally harming my children by doing this. If you can reach out to them. Please.

Please if you can go read my pinned post and share it if you can. Chime is just holding my $3,300.00 tax refund and will not release it. I just want to be able to get my 3 kids what they need, be able to pay our bills, and get groceries, please. This has been since May! Thank you so much!

This has caused so much stress, every day, I just wanna cry.

I have so much proof of chime violating regulation Z, regulation E, and the Dodd-Frank act and it makes no difference to them.
They have caused us so much financial suffering it doesn’t matter to them.

We had to pull money we didn’t have to get a car while fully expecting to get this money back by July 6th and we haven’t gotten it, we have no idea when we will get it.
I have provided so much proof, so much documentation.
Followed all of the steps, and chimes just ignores me.

Now it’s the middle of July and we are slowly getting our bills caught up, but we are struggling from this. My kids need school clothes and school supplies, they start school on Friday.

My son broke his arm, needed medication, had appts to go to, my husband had no way to work, we struggled to pay our power bill, get groceries, and chime new all of this. They didn’t care.

This card, is not anything like any kind of credit card, and there is not credit extended, yet chime does not follow regulation e provisions in the dispute process.

We had to pull money from the money we use to pay our bills at the end of June to be able to get another car.

When I would say that that doesn’t make sense because pre arbitration cannot be filed unless an investigation is finished and an original determination is made, they would tell me that’s not true and that chime was still investigating.

Some of the staff would say that it was pre arbitration that was filed on July 4th not a new chargeback. When I’d ask the outcome of the June 6th chargeback they’d say chime is still investigating but found the merchant documentation to be invalid against the strong evidence I had.

2 different chime staff stated that chime did find a billing error occurred in their investigation, but when I would ask why the money was not credited back to my account then, they would state that visa has the money, or that the merchant refused to give the money back.

They stated the rebuttal reset the timeline even though they never stated this in anyway when I filed the rebuttal. They would not tell me anything about the June 6th chargeback and some of the support staff said there was no chargeback on June 6th. I was repeatedly hung up on by chime staff.

Last week I called into chime and was told a new chargeback was filed on July 4th and I needed to wait 30 days, even though their email said it would be resolved by July 6th. It has also been 2 billing cycles since I filed the original dispute. They then stated their was a new timeline of August 2nd
