Sure but this does not address people’s desire for meaning and and comfort around the fear of death. Which currently none of the parties have addressed even in AES religion exists because those problems haven’t been solved

Just like with most things, it is the conditions within global capitalism the make religions appealing (meaning for people who feel powerless). Many religious establishments also materially provide public services for poor/working families.
