I am guilty of this. I've continued to ask for years for them to give me additional headcount to hire devs, but with them constantly expecting more with less I have had to use agentic workflows to handle a fair amount of tech debt & feature work to stay afloat. We do what we must to keep our jobs 🤷‍♂️

you should leave the profession and make way for the truly brilliant, the innovators, the people who will be remembered. Knowledge is more readily available, tech has advanced. If you are not advancing with it or at least learning from those that are, you are in the way of the future. Move. (2/2)
