Finally got round to opening this last night... Even more peat that I'd hoped for 😳 Dont usually reach for a red wine cask but a Springbank cage bottle is always going to be interesting. The cask influence nicely balanced n that was just the neck pour 🙌🏻

Thompson Mystery Malt #2 - Clynelish. Given a bit of time in the glass, I get something very silky and sweet. Something between condensed milk and cottage cheese. In a good way 😆

An inspired dram. Bread and butter pudding on the nose 😍 Same but with a kindof singed lemon rind tartness. I prefer the nose 😅

If they did, I cant imagine it would be priced sensibly.... One of the most expensive hand fills I've seen. Certainly for this age statement and standard cask treatment. If i remember correctly this wasnt even a single cask but in fact a 2 or 3 cask vatting sent up from the Central belt.
