I don't want GBNews or Nigel Farage banned - they should enjoy freedom of speech as much as the rest of us, and talk of any ban plays into their hands. I just want them held to the same high standards as traditional media and other less right-wing politicians.
🔴 The Public Wants to Ban ‘Politician Presenters’ Like Nigel Farage But Ofcom Isn’t Listening

There was a time when no ordinary member of the public worried about EU membership, and look where we ended up...
Where has this ludicrous ECHR "debate" even come from.

I've never once met an ordinary member of the public who's said to me, "Do you know what? We REALLY need to leave the ECHR."

It's just a new right wing talking point because every other shit idea they've foisted on us has run out of steam.

Of course, the idea that people might not be proud to be British precisely because of #Farige and his racist hoards has passed him by.
Maybe there’s less to be proud of now in this divided, austerity ravaged, small minded, xenophobic, pothole riddled country thanks to him knocking 4% off GDP.

You can’t be taught to be proud, you have to have something to be proud of.
Pride is a response that‘s earned, not a fact to be learned.

And, of course, the irony is that historically English is/was the foreign interloping language displacing the true British languages. But why let the truth stand in the way of some good honest populist bow locks.
👇🏼 These road signs make Rupert Low-Life lose his shit in English and Welsh, Scottish and Irish❗️

Banning foreign language👇🏼 on signs is what’s important to him and Reform

They don’t want your dirty, uncouth Welsh, Scottish or Irish offending their eyes..

It’s English only or you best leave❗️🥴 🤷🏼‍♂️

The world can be divided neatly into two types of person, I find:
A) those who giddily relish a Flambeau episode of Father Brown and
B) those who detest it.

The strange thing is, when we were in the EU, we had precisely this right. The Belgians sent migrants who couldn't support themselves back from whence they came. We chose not to. Now, we can't.
The Far Right can’t help themselves can they❓

When these so called “patriots” aren’t murdering the English language with appalling spelling & grammar..

They hit UPPER CASE as if that makes a point more strongly 🤦🏼‍♂️

They must be tortured by the fact they can’t type in Bold and underline words too❗️🙄

All law can be amended or repealed. The fact that a law might be amended/extended/repealed in the future is a pretty weak objection to any change in the law. Any further changes will be debated in parliament - there's no slippery slope of medical/judicial decree and no inevitability involved.

And what would have pre-elected Nigel #farageriots have said about a remain inclined MP who pointed out the risk of attack from constituents/activists/nutters?
Farage doesn’t care about Clacton & can’t be bothered to hold face to face surgeries, but to use Knife attack fear as an excuse is absolutely pathetic.

One wonders if he is actually to frightened of the consequences he could face from his constituents over the #FarageRiots!

The only mistake Farage might consider re him setting up a tax avoiding, trust in a tax haven

Is that he didn’t hide it much better❗️🤷🏼‍♂️

Ohhh btw.. he’s a true patriot you know..

But like Tice, he prefers you and me pay all the tax while they get all the benefits.. how very Reform of them 😡

It's very deliberate. It gets opponents worked into a lather. Most of his supporters will refuse to see what you see, but will enjoy the discomfort of the "woke" and will point at the persecution of good old Nigel. And some of his supporters will see what you see and will be delighted.
Odd picture for Farage to have on his X profile page👇🏼

To me it looks like a Nazi salute 😳

I’m sure he’s got a good reason for it.. like he has for only voting in 20% of Commons Votes… due to bing busy with all his other very lucrative jobs❗️

Beware of the Right equating Labour rule breaking with their own so the public think "they're all at it" and vote the Tories back in. Tory corruption dwarves any Labour indiscretions - it's only endemic in one party.
FGS why do they do it❓

Arrogance… greed… entitlement.. stupidity.. all of the above and more 🤷🏼‍♂️

Starmer needed to be Whiter than White after 14 years of Tory sleaze and he’s shot himself in the foot❗️

He needs to make up for this by setting the bar on integrity v high❗️

As an Englishman, I would say (Euro) '96 was when we reclaimed our flag. Sadly, we seem to have lost it again.
One of the most memorably profound evenings of my life was being in the hall for #lastnightoftheproms in 2012 - the Olympic year, the year we reclaimed the flag.
September 14, 2024 at 9:05 PM
Currently enjoying the #lastnightoftheproms, hoping the gammons are incandescent at all the EU flags being waved. Obviously enjoying the irony of Rule Britannia being belted out by an American soprano, conducted by a Finn. Couldn't be prouder to be British.

Currently holidaying in North Wales - lovely - but can't believe the amount of smokers and smoking. Not used to it coming from the soft old South of England.

What’s the drama FGS❓❗️👇🏼🙄

I’m not vegan but if I fancy it, I eat vegan food as well as vegetarian and pescatarian…

Each and every one of us with a platform has a responsibility to correct others on the truth about asylum seekers claiming benefits and free homes. They can’t. They receive just £49 a week or £9 if given food. Only if and when they get refugee status can they claim or get a job.

You'd also think it would matter to them with so many of their most vocal supporters now behind bars...
With all the news today about prison overcrowding I was surprised to hear little from the Reform Party. Pity really. because they have a highly qualified, experienced potential spokesperson in James M Murdoch MP who has spent time behind bars.

I'm inclined, personally, to give her the benefit of the doubt. My munificence is tinged with the knowledge that had, say, Angela Raynor sent her 15 year old to the shops for a tin of beans, Kirsty would be amongst the first to demand social services intervention. So, well, bring on the approbation.
Allsopp let her 15 year old son go interrailing around Europe without an adult and then felt 'sick' after social services referral 🙄

I don’t like her, but irrespective of that imo she was grossly negligent as a parent & deserves to be pulled up as any parent should be 🤷🏼‍♂️

To be replaced by who? More years of Tory decline instead? I very much share your view of #Brexit but Kier Starmer's softly softly don't rock the boat approach is all that's available atm
Let's face it, Brexit is crap. Unless Starmer fixed the problems caused by it he is toast.
Starmer’s decision to treat the Brexit symptoms without curing the disease means he’s lining up significant problems.

It would be far better to just rip off the bandaid and get rid of Brexit.
