And the foundation on which all of my goals are realised is education. About coffee itself, about the community, about the impacts of global climate change, about how the Global North can decentre itself from the supply chain.

One of my goals at Whimsy is to bring you all some of the best coffees from producers you’ve never heard of. Producers who are just starting out or who own only a few hectares of trees. And wow has it been fun so far. I’ve had the privilege of tasting some truly outstanding coffees in the last year.

For me, really good coffee isn’t just the craziest coffees, with whacky processing, but the coffee you want to come back to morning after morning. Really good coffee is traceable coffee, coffee that *genuinely* compensates producers for what their coffee is truly worth, not what the market claims 2/
