there are many, many of them! I legit really liked how Phantom was integrated into the overall plot though. However, I admit to bursting out laughing when Rasputin showed up.

I had mixed feelings about The Enchanted Lies of Céleste Artois by Ryan Graudin, but it was hilariously stuffed with references to every possible famous Belle Epoque-era Paris place/person/thing (The Eiffle Tower! Stohrer bakery! Coco Chanel! Jean Cocteau! The Phantom of the Opera!)

Lu Yuxiao as Ming Yi is already incredibly beautiful, but her in wedding red w/ all her hair down was next level gorgeous.

hey it could be worse; Seattle had the highest number of "fancy sports car with scantily clad anime girl wraps" I'd ever seen.

I always use mozzarella now because I find burrata too rich! If you can get the fior de latte mozzarella it's *chef's kiss*

Women of Good Fortune by Sophie Wan is about a bride plotting to steal the gift money from her own high society wedding, and a good portion of it deals with them figuring out details like how to handle the surveillance systems etc. Part women's fiction, part heist.

my fav used bookstore in toronto had an amazing selection of out of print vintage mysteries and sff in the basement. also in the basement: a super creepy mannequin arranged in an armchair w/ a giant floppy hat that gives everyone the jumpscare once they realise its not a person

it's so hard! I only managed bc my joints will now hurt if I don't stretch/work out/get enough movement. Best way I've found to build the habit is to find the shortest, easiest thing that you can consistently do for 2 weeks (for me that's short youtube videos I can follow along in my living room).

personally, massages help but they're expensive *sobs* unfortunately, all those ppl who say to stretch/do yoga for 10-15min a day were right, it does help a ton ;_;

My personal hack is getting Birkenstock insoles, cutting them down, and stuffing them into any flats/loafers/sneakers/boots that aren't supportive enough (sometimes ripping out the existing insole to make it fit). I don't think I will ever wear high heels again though.

*tired high five* unfortunately I hit this stage in my mid-twenties. No easy solutions, but I've found regular exercise, a standing desk, and an app that reminds you to take a break from the computer periodically (I use BreakTimer) all help a lot.

It scared me too! What helped was thinking that the worst you can really do is make your knife dull and you'll need to try and sharpen it again.

This video also really helped in terms of practical tips: www.youtube.com/watch?v=taha...

the next step after is getting a whetstone and learning how to sharpen your fancy knife at home!

yesss a good kitchen knife that fits your hand perfectly is lifechanging! After I got my first full time job I splurged on a beautiful Japanese one that was the most expensive kitchen thing I'd ever bought at the time. No regrets.
