Many years ago I played Sunday football. We were an ok side, but had an awful goalkeeper - literally every shot the opposition took, it went in the goal. We would start well, nearly score, then concede, without fail. It was so demoralising.
Anyway. Man Utd play Burnley at 3pm today.

Pleased with this one. Only really have time for blitz these days, but it's really helping my instincts - would not have made those kingside pawn pushes 18 months ago.

I know this is very silly stuff. And statistically referring to any chess player as "he" is likely to be accurate! But, like, I vastly prefer when they don't needlessly assume so?

Took my son for his first karate lesson ever at my old dojo, and he was a complete natural!
I’m always proud of him (playing the King’s Gambit notwithstanding) but I felt like I was going to explode with joy watching him do basic blocks and concentrate on making a fist “the right way”

To help the chess bluesky community get going I have made a quick fix for sharing chess games. We are used to using the GIF format, but that does not work here, but we can use mp4. There is also a 60-second video limit which also means the tool compresses long games: pgnreplay.replit.app
