FYI: Bowie released Major Tom in ’69 (Space Oddity), where Tom is lost in space with radio silence. In ’80 (Ashes to Ashes), Tom’s “strung out in heaven’s high, hitting an all-time low”. Peter Schilling's version in ’83 has Tom living his best zero-gravity life. I like it 😁
