i finished this a few days ago but i ended up adding some finishing touche today (mostly animating firey)

A lot of this is because the background stuff and the rendering was so simple. I did the bg in roughly 25 minutes and I spent around an hour or two with the rendering.

I'm not sure if 6 and a half hours is a true estimate, but I think it's accurate?? I think??

This does mean it takes significantly less time to draw, though. I think this took me roughly 6 and a half hours; that means it's my first fully finished artwork in a year and a half that hasn't taken 10+ hours to make!

Fun Fact 2: It's very rare for me to do direct scene redraws like this. I usually try to make my own spin on it, but I decided to make the draft for this right after I finished the episode. Since it was such an impulsive decision, I decided to straight up redraw it.

Fun Fact: the fire is composed of only two layers: the main one is set to Glow and is comprised of most of the fire, and the other one is just a regular layer with low opacity. it's just a few extra fx to make the fire more intense

also the Glow layer effect goes hard
