Yesterday I ate a hell of a good bowl of ramen.
A white bowl filled with noodles and a spicy-red broth. On top of the noodle lie some vegetables, half of an hard boiled egg with a very dark yolk, deliciously tender and chewy beef, and a slice of narutomaki. On top of everything, a dash of thinly chopped up leek. It looks delicious. The noodles, the shiitake mushrooms that were hiding in the broth, the beef, the egg, the veggies and the narutomaki, as well as most of the broth, are all gone. All that's left is a cup of red, hot, spicy broth. A ceramic spoon sits in the bowl, its handle sits completely atop of the broth, only the round part is soaking. The white bowl has bright red residues around its walls.

These are some of my latest purchases, and I'm currently reading the one on the left. As far as I know, the book in English is known as 'The Notebook trilogy' by Agota Kristof.
It is such a difficult, gut wrenching and disgusting read. SO many trigger warnings. Beautifully
