Cholula update: I was able to syringe feed her another dose of ibuprofen in electrolyte water, as well as about 50 mls of yogurt slightly diluted with electrolyte water. She also drank some water on her own. No funky smells of fly activity. I have hope! 💖 #chickens

unfortunately another of my neighbor #chickens is now in my care. she was mauled by two dogs at 5:30am right under my bedroom window
she’s doing okay but has deep lacerations and a couple puncture wounds
there are no poultry vets here so doing my best with Vetracyn and colloidal bandages

this poor girl is my neighbors hen. she is broody and must’ve had a nest hidden somewhere outside the coop, because she got injured by something. she’s also molting. she’s going to be my special guest until she recovers 💖
