Will say thought I would take a break between them but ended up just playing both straight through and it never got stale. Second one story and world building I think is fantastic

For Multiplayer: Grounded. Similar to Subnautica but a little more focused on gameplay to make the multiplayer aspect work well. Art and theming is fantastic though

Single player: Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero. I feel like they really pioneered making a narrative experience in the genre and as a narrative designer I'd highly recommend it for you if you haven't played it yet
