Still figuring out bluesky. Dublin based. Tech, Science, LGBT.
Behold the tiny pink gameboy!

If opposites attract then these two are having console babies.

Seconded. I've never been there (am a dub) but buy from them online. The free bookmarks are dead handy too, nice little touch.
Fair play to them.

I can believe it. I'm not sure it's even workable though. Any law would need to have an equal qualifier for the protocols used for distributed/federated social media networks (eg. ATprotocol here on bluesky), otherwise Meta et al could challenge the law for being discriminatory.

That would mean everybody having to upload passport to create an account, which is insane.
Ideally parents that want their kids to have a phone should be providing them with dumb phones, rather than a smart phone with unregulated access to the internet.

Honestly the only way I started to remember it was by thinking that 'uisce' ended in e, so the Irish spelling has an e 😄

Glad you enjoyed yourself though. The guinness tour is a fun stop off too, can be worth a visit.

If you work/have qualifications in any of these fields then you are in luck:

1) Having Irish parents/grandparents gets you citizenship.
2) Get job in Ireland (look for list of critical skills on government website, guaranteed a CS Employment Permit if you qualify which will lead you to permanent residency/citizenship if you want it).
3) Find an Irish citizen to marry.

Whiskey* (sorry for correction.. scotch has no e)
It's actually from english speakers trying to say the Irish word for water, uisce. Should be pronounced like 'ishka' but you can forgive people for reading it phonetically as whiskey if they don't speak Irish.

Oddly enough it's called Bulmers in Ireland. It's called Magners everywhere else.

Are you sure it was called magic? Celtic Lore and Spellcraft of the Dark Goddess: Invoking the Morrigan has a dark green cover. Can pick it up in various Irish bookshops. Probably on amazon (but support local bookstores pls)

Easy mistake, it's a really odd naming convention for a country. They are all countries (england, scotland, wales, Northern Ireland), but together make up another country (The UK). But England, Scotland and Wales (not Northern Ireland) make up yet another country, Great Britain.

Its weird 😆

Northern Ireland is part of the UK, it's just not Britain. UKs full name is The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
I say that as an Irish person who would prefer all of Ireland was just Ireland, but it is what it is.
