But which layer is the organizing layer?

I’ve started to work with LLMs almost the way I used to think about a tool like Visual Basic. There are parts of the code that I write by hand and I don’t want the llm to really touch. And then I have parts that I want to be effectively vibe coded and not write by hand at all basically.

I don’t know if I’m really missing out on anything, but lately I’ve been happy with keeping it simple with Cline. I don’t use a lot of tools. And I split my work appropriately. It’s like how TDD affects your code shape. Coding w/ LLMs in mind

I had a 10 year “indefinite hiatus” from my folks. I’m back in touch. Still not sure what I want out of this. But yeah… humans right?

I think it’s great to supply alt-text but also makes no sense in 2025 that we can’t easily crowd-source it too. It can be a kind of ableism tax on the people posting too. We don’t fix climate change by individuals recycling. It’s a collective effort.

I actually think the early work in cybernetics has a lot of relevance here, and unfortunately all of the philosophical ramifications and ideas for the relation to computer minds was purified from its influence in CS. Cybernetics was the true origin of reactive programming even.

The funny part is that it doesn’t even work as promised. The rich will get richer. And ironically, it will probably make even more people have to act like machines for their job.

It’s a domain specific language. It has a compiler at this point, even. So it’s neither and both, in a way. It’s hard to describe with the false dichotomy of library/framework. Just don’t say “it’s just JavaScript”. That’s false and counterproductive to useful conversation.

I haven’t researched, but I usually just assume it was the output of some framework with terrible accessibility or something. A bad wysiwyg or CMS tool?
