I haven’t met any women who hate trans people and are “out to get them” the way it’s characterized online…it’s a cartoon debate. Our society does not have any safe spaces for women, most abuse happens inside the home, so public bathrooms can become the last refuge. Many “terfs” just want compassion.

That might have something to do with the fact you’re a guy and can’t relate directly. I’ve had conversations with women about this. Women can get easily triggered when someone with a male sized body or male voice is in an area where they have to partially undress. Especially if it was more recent.

The point I’m trying to make is that there’s a context in which this is all taking place, but the discussions online have flattened that. Women’s experiences & feelings are being dismissed outright and this mirrors our already lived experience with toxic patriarchal males.

Roe has been overturned, incel culture has been on the rise, we’re in the 2nd term of an elected rapist president, the world’s most powerful men are in the Epstein files that they won’t release or bring to justice under the law, femicide is on the rise, our voting rights have been targeted…

Women are not a monolith and I can’t speak for everyone’s opinion on this. However, I can say there are gender based trauma issues for many. The laws and culture around women’s safety is ever evolving too. There are times we feel less safe, so noticing any shifts over time should be expected.

It doesn’t actually matter to me if “terfs” include men as long as it includes women. I object to the use of it on the basis it’s a slur b/c slurs are dehumanizing. Its also harmful to the trans movement b/c it’s hypocritical and undermines the core message.True activism fights against slur culture.

The bathroom issue is more nuanced than that. I disagree that its about hating trans people for most or all “terfs”; it’s about unacknowledged trauma women have been living with from sexual violence. This framing of a “war” is an inaccurate analysis from a male perspective. Y’all aren’t listening.

Also people should not be using the slur “terf”-this is verbal violence and misogynistic. Men need to stop using slurs to hatefully, forcefully, dismissively, silence women they disagree with; learn to debate us- we’re human. Argue on the facts not the person. You don’t win respect using hate speech.

No, the issue is that one of your posts specifically blames “cis women” for “not addressing” the male violence epidemic, that its our fault its still a problem, and argues that we scapegoat trans people instead of taking care of “our” problem. It’s basically what rape culture already says about us.

Didn't you know? Violence is only supposed to go one way.

Its delicious irony when white men go on the defense to explain why the very same standards they have for everyone else are wrong and bad, fully articulated at length. These fckers get it, they are just sadists who enjoy being evil.

Oppressors always violently oppose giving up the exploitation of a class of people. It was true with chattel slavery. Now, its women. These guys are openly saying in interviews that women should be afraid of men as a legitimate reason to give in to subjugation. Even Leftist journalists. Appalling.

When prominent men and older women with platforms tell younger women that men are violent dehumanizing creatures to be feared, and where there is a silence of opposition to those statements, what you have is cultural consensus. There are 0 prominent men saying publicly “we want women to feel safe”.

Their message that men are inherently violent and that it’s an acceptable way of life for women should also offend you if you’re not that man. It should be offensive that women are told it’s acceptable to live a life in fear. It’s also fascist to use fear to control others; it assaults democracy.

I like Kara for the most part, but it’s dangerous that she is now pushing the red-pill MAGA #mle narrative due to proximity to Galloway. She actually argued that women should subjugate ourselves to men out of fear in her recent Forbes interview. This is a fascist message and deeply anti-democratic.

She went on Forbes this past week and said in her interview that women should be afraid of men becoming violent if they don’t get their way. Galloway has infected her with #mle red-pill nonsense, which is disappointing and dangerous with her platform. Now leftists repeat MAGA narratives freely 😳

Exactly, its utter nonsense. They’ve resorted to saying that b/c they’re actually afraid. Women are 50% of the global population. If they want to have a civil war between sexes, the entire species is going down. Or maybe just misogynists like them, which sounds appealing to me lol.
