1) Current 12th grade ELs are substantially underrepresented in Massachusetts ECPs.
2) Former ELs are slightly overrepresented in Massachusetts ECPs.
3) Current ELs are especially underrepresented in ECPs at schools w/ higher shares of Hispanic/Latinx students, low-income students, and ELs.

@john-fallon-econ.bsky.social sees no change in teacher quality despite 1 states efforts to improve rigor of state licensure tests, does see a big drop in # of people who get licensed. Adding to growing questions policy-wise about role of our current set of licensure tests as entry requirements.

We see WEPC has institutional change itself, enabling faculty within an IHE to engage in rigorous, policy relevant partnerships in ways that otherwise would not be possible. This captured best in a letter of support from one of affiliated faculty ‪
