I am just here so I won’t get fined.
I put together this candy table for a birthday party and it was so much fun.

In August/September of 1977, I was at Tower Records by Seattle Center. There was an end cap display of tons of copies of Dennis Wilson’s solo album, I walked into the next aisle where Dennis Wilson himself was browsing the shelves. He looked exactly like the photo on the cover. I did not bother him

Look how tall the wheat is. It’s starting to turn. There is a river just south of our house and the elk travel along it but have not come up this close to the house before.

My mom took these photos of four elk from her laundry room window a few minutes ago.

Soundgarden was a wonderful band. I am very fortunate to have seen them perform. RIP, Chris, a once in a lifetime singer. So happy they are being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They are in my hall of fame. 💕

Was in Ballard at the Nordic Museum today and I saw a troll. I ate a sandwich there, too.

U Village is the best village and Hey Bagel has terrific bagels.

One of the most powerful experiences I have had in a museum was in the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. We are all better when we learn the lessons of the past.

Saw Snow Patrol last night and they were terrific. I’ve seen them before but somehow last night was even better. Catch them if they come through your city.

Had a really good burger and fries today for my birthday.

My dad died 18 years ago today. I miss him every day. I hate cancer. He was a really good man. He had a stressful and time consuming job as a superintendent of schools but always had time for his kids and our friends. I was lucky to be his daughter. 💕

Tonight I ate at a cool French bar and then went to a Bread Salon with bakers, a farmer, a miller, a soil scientist, and the guy who runs the Bread Lab. It was a super cool evening. Ate chips with ham and could not recommend more.

I ate dim sum today and it is a very good way to feel better. Highly recommend. Also, we were the only non-Asians in the huge restaurant.

Was considering taking this cooking class. Looks good but the egregious misuse of the apostrophe in the course description turned my maybe into a no. If you can’t proofread your web site, I do not trust your ability to tend to other details.

I got that suitcase as a Christmas present and was too lazy to take it upstairs.

Got this news from YouTube today. I could really use more subscribers. Also, I can’t believe that a video of Jon McLaughlin from 10 years ago is still getting so many views. youtube.com/@issaquahwa?...

I also got this from Tillamook Cheese. We are going to have a cheese tasting, maybe tomorrow. Most excited to try the extra sharp from 2014.

@jenn.bsky.social Sending lots of Iove to you today. Take care. Here is a photo from sunrise at our farm in Eastern Washington. I had to get up early but it was very beautiful.

I went out to dinner last night with my family to a restaurant called The Red Monkey. I read the kids’ menu to my great nephew and felt it necessary to tell him that the Monkey Burger was not actually made of monkey. He laughed a lot. He is almost three which might be my demographic.

What did you have for dessert? We had pies and fancy chocolates. I made pecan and key lime pie but bought the chocolates. I experimented a bit with my crust and it was fine but not as flaky as usual. Still 100 times better than in a restaurant. (I am a very confident pie maker, maybe over confident)

Please enjoy this photo of my favorite Thanksgiving companion, my great nephew. He is pretending he is a tiger and coming to attack me. Hope you had some fun with family or friends but if you didn’t get the chance to play with a tiger/toddler, you can share my experience. 🐅🐅🐅

Corgis were happy to see me. After making me pet them for a long time, they wrestled around and then napped by the fire.
