Politics/IT nerd, trying to filter wheat from chaff of the information flood. Enjoys the promulgation of malaphors and Wildean epigrams.
The question behind the headline.

It seems like a self-perpetuating ecosystem.

People compete to get into competitions so that they can compete.

Someone is grifting on the money being generated.

Guess who used to own it? The orange sleaze.

Owned by a Thai company now.

Mostly because it's a slogan not a guarantee of the ingredients.

But most of the inflation in chocolate prices is because of a world wide price increase in cocoa but that is slowly coming back down from record highs due to bad seasons.

It was a special that these guys did last year, not sure if they're doing it again. Done through Bodriggy breweries.

You could try talking to Lucien at Plug Nickel in Collingwood (Melbourne) and ask him to make more...

He can't, because he can't identify the leadership or organization of the group (it doesn't exist), and there's no such thing as a designated domestic terror organization, only foreign.

But hey, the law seems to be "flexible" in the US these days.

Maybe @riotgrlerin.bsky.social could do an "Australian children's stories characters do modern politics" thread :)

Article I, Section 4, Clause 1:

The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators.

He was Australia’s ambassador to Israel and worked in PM&C as head of the “international division” so it’s not entirely fair to say he knows nothing about diplomacy or the region.

The news report is the opposite.

The girl wants a termination & her mother & the 13 year old father agree. But the hospital was concerned that a) parent can't give permission for the termination, & b) they weren't sure whether the girl had the capacity to do so.

You might have noticed that CBS has cancelled Steven Colbert's Late Show and has nobbled 60 minutes.

Here's the reasons why:

CBS is owned by Paramount Global

That description of "practical kitchen with stainless steel appliances" is the most pathetic I've ever seen for something like this. But maybe it's likely that whoever buys it is going to knock it down and rebuild. I mean, it'd be worth it, for the sort of people that buy houses like this.

He had a working with children card which is required for anyone with contact with children. So he didn't have any indications in that check that would have excluded him from working at childcare organizations.

Apple weather on MacOS isn't too shabby either. Although not as accurate temperature-wise as the BOM site/app.

Meanwhile:
Inflation is in the RBA's desired 2-3% range.
Unemployment has a 4 at the front and stable.
Interest rates have a 3 at the front with more drops to come.
AUD is stable, our credit rating is now higher than the US.

All the seats on the AEC website say "undefined" because the AEC has not declared *ANY* seat until the count is completed, which is when all postals have been received and counted. The deadline is the end of the day tomorrow (16 May) being 13 days after election day.

This is what the map at

is showing when you zoom in. The street doesn't look that long. 😀

There's still 1380 votes to count, so it's more a wait and see, then if there's a gap of less than 100, I think the AEC will decide to do a recount.

Wow, what a clusterfuck of an arrangement, essentially all of the LNP are now NP. So the NP holds the coalition lead. David Littleproud as Opposition Leader?
