The best price change predictor of October is...

@livefpl.net! Winning both categories for the 3rd month in a row.

Especially the rise score of 80.3 is impressive and among the highest month-scores I've seen since I started tracking this last year.

The best price change predictor of September is...

@livefpl.net! Winning both categories for the 2nd month in a row.

FantasyFootballHub was in the lead for most of the month for rises, but fumbled at the end with a disastrous day on Sept 26th. One such day made the difference between best and 2nd.

The best price change predictor of August is...
@livefpl.net !

Winning both the rises and falls category. Rise predictions have been especially good thus far!
September 2, 2025 at 8:28 AM
LiveFPL adjusted their algorithm to catch more falls — but at the expense of 9 false positives.

FantasyFootballHub not off to a great start so far.

Looks like we're in for another rough season of price changes...

Basically all price change predictor websites got blindsided by last night's price changes, only FantasyFootballFix got some of the falls correct.

New season, new price changes! With the first price changes behind us, it seems all remaining price change predictors (RIP FPLstatistics) are off to a great start.

If you want to track which website is doing best, check out my website whatthef.pl which updates daily.

The best FPL price change predictor of the SEASON is...

🥇 FPLstatistics — Best for falls, 2nd for rises!

🥈 @livefpl.net — amazing start to the season, but accuracy dropped off the last months

🥉 FantasyFootballHub — the most improved. Rough start but among the best in the last months.

The best price change predictor of March is...

FPLStatistics & FantasyFootballHub!

The international break was a tough period for predictors, but the quality of predictions was clearly different per website. The clearest trend is FFHub improving on fall predictions compared to others.

NEW on whatthef.pl: Performance over time!

I added graphs to the home page, to show the performance of the predictors throughout the season. This way you can see if the quality of a predictor is trending in a certain direction.

Any comments/feedback, let me know!

The best price change predictor of this week is...

FPLstatistics (for rises) and FantasyFootballHub (for falls)

This is in line with recent trends:
🔹 FPLstats is on top of the monthly leaderboard for rises
🔹 FFHub is on top of the weekly leaderboard for falls for the 2nd week in a row
March 16, 2025 at 12:10 PM
The best price change predictors of this week are...

FantasyFootballFix & FantasyFootballHub

Performance of models has more or less returned to normal. In the season-long table it looks like soon FPLstatistics will take #1 from @livefpl.net for price falls.

The best price change predictor of February is...

@livefpl.net and FPLstatistics
with one 1st and 2nd place each.

Performance is still way down from December and January. Let's see if the predictors can pick it back up in March.
February 28, 2025 at 11:28 AM
The best price change predictor of Week 8, 2025 is...

For the 2nd week in a row:
@livefpl.net and FPLstatistics with one 1st and 2nd place each.

Performance is still mediocre at best, though since the last deadline there seem to have been some recovery (maybe).
February 23, 2025 at 11:14 AM
The best price change predictor of Week 7 is...

@livefpl.net / FPLstatistics
with one 1st and 2nd place each.

Performance is still well below what it was in December + early January. I do expect accuracy to increase again once there's a more regular weekly schedule again.
February 17, 2025 at 9:48 AM
The best price change predictor of January is...

FantasyFootballHub!

Topping the monthly leaderboard for both rises and falls! Fair game to them, they've really improved their algorithm since I started tracking back in early December, when they were still last for rises and 3rd for falls.
February 4, 2025 at 2:41 PM
🏅The best price change predictor of Week 4 is...

@livefpl.net ! They top the leaderboard for both rises and falls. Especially their rise predictions were very accurate.

Honourable mention to FPLstatistics who came in 2nd in both categories.

🏅The best price change predictor of Week 3 is...

It's not very clear this week😅
For RISES, all 4 predictors got about the same score
For FALLS, it's FantasyFootballHub who wins the week.

Regardless, performance is back up from last week, as there are far fewer wildcards being played.
January 20, 2025 at 9:40 AM
🏅The best price change predictor of Week 2 is...

FPLstatistics!

A very rough week with bad performance by all predictors. This is due to the high number of wildcards being played. FPLstatistics turned out to be the best at accounting for these wildcard transfers.
January 13, 2025 at 12:19 PM
🥇 The best price change predictor of the first week of the year is...

@livefpl.net for rises!
FantasyFootballHub for falls!

FPLstatistics with a rough week, coming in last for price rises — and at risk of falling to last there in the monthly leaderboard as well.
January 5, 2025 at 10:51 AM
The best price change predictor of December is...

@livefpl.net!

Both the best predictor for rises and falls in December, by quite a margin.

For price rises, the other 3 are pretty close.
For price falls, I would avoid FantasyFootballFix.

📅 Thursday, December 19th

Ah, there it is.

After 4 near perfect days (or rise predictions) for @FantasyFootyFix I was almost starting to wonder if they'd figured it out — but there it is. The only to miss the Gabriel rise today, and incorrectly predicting Isak to rise.
December 19, 2024 at 8:56 AM
📅 Wednesday, December 18th

FantasyFootballFix amazing price rise prediction streak continues — today joined by LiveFPL for a perfect prediction. However, FFX still clearly the worst on price falls.
December 18, 2024 at 8:42 AM
📅 Tuesday, December 17th

Soooo... in the last 3 days, FantasyFootballFix now have 11/12 rises predicted, with ZERO false positives. Just to contrast:

🔹 FPLstatistics (11/12) — 8 false positives
🔹 FantasyFootballHub (10/12) — 10
🔹 @livefpl.net (11/12) — 11

📅 Sunday, December 15th

Damn, out of nowhere FantasyFootballFix with the perfect rise prediction. Is it a sign of an improving model, or the fact that 'even a broken clock is right twice a day'?

Seeing as they were worst out of all predictors for the falls, I'm leaning towards the latter.
