found some fun weed yesterday that I haven't seen in Ontario shops:
Hash Bullets from Simply Bare
rather then just being infused with hash, these tiny little .3g prerolls are 100% hash
beautifully slow, flavorful burn
might have to snag another pack on the way home

DIY lab oven project is a resounding success
Achieved 53-56C range on 55C target
the trick turned out to be 2 controllers in series: one for temperature of chamber, and a timer to keep the elements from thermal runaway by only allowing 2sec of heat every 10sec
last step is mount and close it up

DIY lab oven project is a resounding success

the oven now does what I say
the rotisserie slot is perfect for a real temperature sensor
current trouble is too much heat, target is 55C and I made it from 53C to 63C before the elements cooled off enough
gonna play with hysterisis but need to power control the elements.. knobs are fake

it's lucky I planned to open up and hack this cheap no name brand oven anyway, because the mains hot wire wasn't actually crimped on and already shows signs of arc damage ⚡
man who sold it to me said it was totally fine but I bet it sparkled like fireworks at least once

love the medium but made some rookie mistakes, need to manually do the gray-scale conversion so levels not wasted on the corners
also need to put the seam on the side not the back

Ok so this stuff is my nemesis but it CAN be made to work
Bump retraction to 1.5mm, but lower speed to 20 mm/sec
Run temps around 210-220C with the fan on 100%
The quicker you can cool this stuff the more solid it sets, I use an external fan setup when I run TPU
