I think it’s a lot easier to parent the child you have if you generally like and enjoy humans, in all their variations and quirks. “This isn’t the child I ordered” seems to come from a deep discomfort with/distaste for people who are different from oneself, regardless of age or relationship.

What’s wild to me is that my kids’ public school would easily pass this test - we’ve worked so hard to help anyone in the community who needs it, whether or not they have a child at the school. Because we believe no kids should be hungry and that our school is stronger when our community is strong.

Truly, the idea that price shopping is possible is so anti-reality I don’t know how to respond. I have tried HARD many times to get pre-service cost estimates from doctors. Across the board they’ve said they won’t know the price until after the service is performed.
