This Friday, WHAT welcomes Dr. Iddo Tavory, Professor of Sociology at New York University, to give a talk titled “The Situation: A Cultural-Interactionist Theory.” Prof. Tavory will present his conceptualization of “situation” that accounts for “elements that lurk under the surface of interaction.”

In yesterday’s WHAT workshop, Prof. Stephen Vaisey @vaiseys.bsky.social shared with us his research on cultural changes (e.g., beliefs, values, morals) at the population level, and introduced his current study, which examines these shifts through cohort replacement as a methodological contribution.

This Friday, WHAT welcomes Dr.Stephen Vaisey @vaiseys.bsky.social , Professor of Sociology and Political Science at Duke University. Prof. Vaisey will give a talk about the overtime change of societal values, and a new method for studying it. We look forward to hearing all about it!
